Underground Fiber-Optic Internet Installations

Comcast and Metronet have begun expanding their fiber-optic networks into Chanhassen. Contractors will install fiber-optic cables, which may involve visible work in public rights-of-way and utility easement areas, such as street and sidewalk areas. Although the work is not being done by the city, the contractors have city-issued permits to install the cable in the right of way.
