What is Beyond the Yellow Ribbon?

Beyond the Yellow Ribbon is a comprehensive program that creates awareness to connect service members and their families with community support, training, services, and resources.

We do this by:

• Creating awareness through the Yellow Ribbon Community and synchronizing sustainable community support networks
• Connecting and coordinating organizations, agencies, and companies to provide resources and support to service members and their families.
• Hosting Yellow Ribbon events for service members and their families (before, during, and after deployment) to connect with the community.
• Providing opportunities to support service members and their families.

Yellow Ribbon Community Mission Statement

In continuing Minnesota’s proud history of supporting our nation’s military, the Yellow Ribbon Network is a diverse group of citizens and community leaders uniting key areas within local communities to leverage existing support activities, build awareness and take action to recognize and support service members, and military families.

Chanhassen Proclaimed a Yellow Ribbon City

On October 10, 2012, Governor Mark Dayton proclaimed Chanhassen a Yellow Ribbon City.
