Overview
The purpose and responsibility of the Environmental Commission is:
- To address issues that affect the city's natural resources.
- To advocate the benefits and necessity of Chanhassen's natural resources.
- To bring a comprehensive perspective to environmental issues.
- To provide environmental education to the public.
- To provide the residents of Chanhassen with opportunities to improve the quality of their environment.

- 6:00 p.m.
- Second Wednesday of every month (no meeting in August)
- Fountain Conference Room - lower level Chanhassen City Hall

Environmental Academy
The Environmental Commission hosts a series of free events in the fall to educate the community on environmental issues. New it 2024, the Commission has partnered with Carver County Environmental Services. More information is found here.
