Recreation Center
Overview
The Chanhassen Recreation Center opened in September of 1995 and serves the residents of Chanhassen and the surrounding area.
The Recreation Center takes pride in creating a fun and friendly atmosphere for people of all ages at an affordable price. The Recreation Center is a focal point for many of the city’s recreation activities. The facilities include a gym, fitness room, aerobics/dance room, and meeting rooms.
The Recreation Center offers a unique no pre-registration system that fits busy lifestyles. Go to the “club” when you feel like it and only pay for what you use (no yearly membership fees). Simply pay for the fitness room and open gym when you check-in, or use your punch card.
Senior Center Programs at the Recreation Center
Due to construction of the new Civic Campus, all Senior Center programs are currently being offered at the Chanhassen Recreation Center. This is a temporary shift in service until construction of the civic campus is complete and the new Senior Center space is ready for operation.

Holiday Hours & Closures
The Rec Center is closed on New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. There are modified hours on other holidays. In the event of inclement winter weather, the Recreation Center will make the decision to close. Call the Rec Center at (952) 227-1400 for specific information.
