The City of Chanhassen is pleased that it has been awarded one of the Best Places to Live in the Nation, Top Ten Town to Raise a Family, Highest Quality of Life in the Twin Cities, and has the Best Community Festival for our Fourth of July Celebration.

The City of Chanhassen continues to be recognized for its high quality of life, strong financial position, and stable economy. Below are the awards and accolades the City of Chanhassen has received:

2024 Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting

The City of Chanhassen was awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting through the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for the annual comprehensive financial report for the 2022 fiscal year.

The report has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.

The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
