Project work was delayed by the wet conditions in May. The contractor will be onsite starting on June 5 at all project locations. The contractor will work through the final grading, restoration, and punch list items at all four project locations. The work is expected to take approximately one week.

The contractor is expected to complete topsoil placement, final grading, restoration, and vegetation establishment work at all project locations this month as weather conditions allow. Punch list items will also be worked on. Work is anticipated to start on Monday, May 8, 2023.
Project Location - Basin RM-P4.9 (On Lake Dr. E just east of Great Plains Blvd) – Tree planting is expected to start on Monday, May 8, 2023, and should be completed within the week. Trees will be staked on Wednesday, 5/3/2023.

Project Location - Basin RM-P4.9 (On Lake Dr E just east of Great Plains Blvd) – Work on this site was delayed by the recent snowstorm and warmer weather. The contractor is currently wrapping up the storm sewer improvements. Some additional grading and hauling are expected to be completed the week of March 6, 2023. Grading Substantial competition at this location is expected by the end of mid-March.
Project Location - Basin BC-P5.9 (Bandimere Park) – Work at this location is complete. Please remember that some punch list items may soon be needed at this location. Trail closures during working hours at the park are anticipated. The skating rink and other park amenities will remain open during construction.

Project Location - Basin RM-P4.9 (On Lake Dr. E just east of Great Plains Blvd) – The contractor is currently working on excavation and hauling off material. Hauling is expected to be completed on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, but depends on weather conditions. Grading and pipework are also scheduled for the week of 2/20/23. Substantial competition at this location is expected by the end of February.

The contractor has elected to modify the construction schedule to start work at Bandimere Park this week to take advantage of the favorable weather conditions.
Project Location - Basin BC-P5.9 (Bandimere Park) – The contractor will begin work at this location on Wednesday, February 2, 2023. Initial construction activities include site mobilization, site preparation, and dewatering, with excavation planned for later in the week. One to two weeks’ worth of work is anticipated at this location. Trail closures during working hours at the park are anticipated. The skating rink and other park amenities will remain open during construction.

Restoration is expected to be completed by Tuesday, and It is anticipated that work will be completed at this location on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. Please keep in mind that some punch list items may be needed at this location in the near future, but the work at this pond should be substantially complete, weather permitting, this Wednesday.
Project Location - Basin LR-P1.7B (Off of Lyman Blvd just south of Riley Ridge Park) – The contractor will begin to remove sediment and haul out material on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. The remaining work and restoration are expected to be done by Wednesday, and It is anticipated that work will be completed at this location on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. Please keep in mind that some punch list items may be needed at this location in the near future, but the work at this pond should be substantially complete, weather permitting, this Wednesday.

Peterson Companies Inc. was the low bidder and was awarded the contract. Mobilization and construction activities will begin in early January.
December 2022
The project is set for council approval on December 12. Construction activities are anticipated to start in late December or early January, depending on the weather. The order of the construction sites has yet to be determined.
