Minnewashta Parkway

The City has been reviewing the existing Minnewashta Parkway corridor with respect to pedestrian and traffic safety. An engineering study was prepared as part of the Highway 5 Improvement project due to concerns surrounding a potential increase in traffic volumes once the project is completed. Alongside this future condition, there are current concerns revolving around vehicular speeds and pedestrian crossings of the street. There have been two public meetings held concerning the topic and staff has worked with the City Council at multiple work sessions to review the existing conditions and discuss various strategies to address the issues. The study and the meeting presentations are included below for additional information.
