About Us
Overview
The Chanhassen Fire Department is comprised of 27 paid-on-call firefighters, a full-time fire chief, a full-time assistant chief/fire marshal, three full-time captains, two full-time firefighters, a firefighter/inspector, and a code enforcement specialist/firefighter. A volunteer fire department chaplain also serves the members and community when needed.
The Fire Chief reports to the City Manager and is responsible for Emergency Management for the community. The Fire Chief manages the department using three paid-on-call Battalion Chiefs.
All calls are handled by one fire station within Chanhassen. Our equipment includes three engine companies, one 100 foot platform ladder, and various smaller rescue and grass fire units. The fire department utilizes mutual aid agreements from surrounding communities on calls that demand more resources than are available within the city.
The Chanhassen Fire Department strives to provide its businesses and residents with the finest fire and rescue services. Please tell us about your experience with Chanhassen Fire at Citizen Evaluation Form.
