The City of Chanhassen provides a program for those individuals that may need financial assistance to participate in our recreation programs. This program is available for Chanhassen residents only. It is the policy of the City of Chanhassen to provide services to all residents regardless of sex, race, color, national origin, ability, or financial status.
Who is eligible?
- All applicants must be residents of the City of Chanhassen residents of all ages.
- Applicants who currently have no outstanding balances with the City of Chanhassen.
- Program Scholarships will be awarded as resources allow.
How much assistance can my family receive?
- Each eligible family can receive up to $100 per person per year, with a family maximum of $350 per year.
- A minimum copayment of 50% is required at the time of registration for all programs. Payment plans cannot cover the copayment for those eligible for Program Scholarships.
- Scholarships can be used for up to six programs per person per year, with a limit of three summer programs per person per year.
What programs are not eligible for Scholarships?
- Programs with a fee of $10 or less
- Day camps and field trips
- Skyhawks sports camps
- Adult sports and personal training
- Recreation Center birthday party packages
- Facility rental, including room rentals and picnic shelters
- Scholarships are available for program fees only (special event admissions are not eligible)
Can I use the scholarship for Chanhassen Recreation Center punch cards?
Yes. You can use your scholarship to purchase 10, 20, or 40-punch cards for the Chanhassen Recreation Center. Punch cards purchased via scholarship are kept on file at the front desk. Each card is restricted to immediate family only.
