On February 27, 2017, the Chanhassen City Council adopted Ordinance 619, which included a total rewrite of Section 20-964 of the City Code pertaining to temporary outdoor events, sidewalk sales, seasonal sales, and special events. View the Guide to Sales and Events document to determine which permit(s) to apply for.

Online Permitting

Effective January 1, 2024, all permits must be applied for online. Click the 'Submit Application' button at the bottom of the page to access our application portal through BS&A.
