Please join the City of Chanhassen, the Chanhassen Fire Department, and Ridgeview Medical on November 9 for our Fire Station 2 Transition Open House. During this time, residents will have the opportunity to meet with city and Ridgeview staff, ask questions, and provide feedback. Come any time between
5:30-7:00 p.m.! This is an open house, with a short presentation starting at 6:15 p.m.

What changes are we making during this transition?

In 2023, the Chanhassen Fire Department will be moving to a new level of service, with 24/7 staffing at Station 1. Improving overall response times and reliability in all areas of Chanhassen is our goal, and an engine can be en route to a call in two minutes in this response model. As part of this transition, Station 2 (Minnewashta Parkway) will change use from a Fire Station to a Ridgeview Ambulance Base as of January 2, 2023.

The Department continues to use a combination of full-time and paid-on-call firefighters to serve the community.
